Rudolph Willemse is an observational photographer, poet and producer from the Riebeek Valley, Republic of South Africa.
Rudolph is the author of three volumes of Afrikaans poetry - Kweekskool (1982) Middelman (2005) and Swartland (2024). He also published poems and short stories in literary magazines and his work has been included in various anthologies of poetry.
He is the author of three photo books with the titles #roadtrip (2024), abstractions (2024) and #world (2025), respectively. He has exhibited work during Solo Studios and Art Unlocked events in the Riebeek Valley, and some of his work is on view at the Pictorex photographic studio and gallery in Riebeek Kasteel. In 2022, he and Emma Willemse had a joint exhibition at Solo Studios with the title Points of Departure, curated by Elizabeth Miller-Vermeulen.
He occasionally hosts new music, acoustic guitar and poetry performances at Hoofstraat Conceptual. His poems have been performed on stage by actor Marcel van Heerden on various occasions.
